Mid-Ism Challenge

For Daily Paintworks challenge to paint something between expressionism and impressionism, I used the photo William Cook supplied in this painting.  Using oil paint, a brush and a palette knife I used color and paint to be expressive. The knife helped me to keep it loose. This is available at Daily Paintworks in auction for a week. http://www.dailypaintworks.com/buy/auction/212655

Painter’s Still Life

This weeks’s Daily Paintworks challenge is to paint mid- impressionism and expressionism, using the paintings of Julius Seyler as a reference.  I set up a still life from a few tubes of paint and brushes in their jar and used oil paint on Arches oil paper. The painting is 4×6″, on auction at Daily Paintworks. http://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/christine-parker/painters-still-life/211938
